The Re-Opening of the Gnomish Bazaar
Sun Oct 11, 2020 6:35 pm
Eleventh Day, Tenth Moon,
Twenty-First Year of Recent Awakenings
In accordance with the will of Her Majesty and in upholding the duties charged to me as Junior Chronicler, I hereby submit the account of The Re-Opening of the Gnomish Bazaar.
On the tenth day of the tenth moon, the Gnomish Bazaar (or 'Bizarre' as it is spelled by the Gnomes) was formally re-opened. A lively re-opening event began at nine late bells, organised by Lady Charmiam in her capacity as Mistress of Coin. The buoyant atmosphere was further supplemented by the provision of festive drinks and edible treats. Royal Purse Bearer Mistress Calamity also generously aided newer guests in purchasing items that were to be gifts for others.
Those present for the Bazaar's re-opening were Lady Charmiam, Mistresses Calamity and Heulyn, Serjeant Vessa, seras Taite, Caillean, Auriela, Marcine, Kathris, sers Ammanas, Leodegrance, Harabec, Enamar, Westley, Ilatai, and this Chronicler.
The Gnomish Bazaar carries a wide range of both whimsical and useful items to suit the purses of the Outer Bailey. The pricing of trade items begins from just ten coins for various teas, game dice, and plain soap. The most expensive items are refillable drinking horns, small crystal divination balls, and magical jewellery. These items range in price from between five to seven hundred coins.
The majority of the Bazaar's stock is unlimited, with some of the more costly items being limited in number. Limited items include the aforementioned magical jewellery and drinking horns, as well as silver hourglasses, reservoir pens, and boxes of assorted candies. Readers should note that stock will be rotated and replaced over time.
Lady Charmiam said of the event, "I am pleased that so many have come to this opening event this evening". She explained that the Bazaar would remain open at all hours for the foreseeable future "unless there is abuse, in which case it will be closed again". She further added, "When the Inner Bailey Bazaar is finalised, we will have something similar for members of the Court. The stock in the Inner Bailey Bazaar will be of finer quality as is suitable for those who live there."
The extensive opening times of the Gnomish Bazaar will surely be a boon to those who wish to purchase gifts for the upcoming Yule season.
This chronicle will be subject to changes and corrections. I humbly ask all readers to please indicate to me discreetly, any falsehoods I may have mistakenly communicated. It is by means of the conservation of the Past that we continue to serve Her Majesty and give substance to those that follow.
In service to Her Majesty Queen Vivienne, The Office of the Chronicler, and the Denizenry of Her Majesty's Realm.
