Your Character Looks Like Who? -- REDUX

AKA that thread where we match our characters with RL famous people. This was one of our most popular threads on the old Noise forum, along with FMoM and GTS. So, I am reviving it, Dr. G style! (Because sometimes it's easier to look at forum posts than search through the Character Pics channel on Discord.)

I'll start.



Japanese singer and actress Mika Nakashima has been my face claim for Umi for years now. Just imagine her with a more buff physique, black hair with a blueish sheen, golden eyes, and a permanent resting bitch face and BAM!

Alright, I'll bite. I have my art of Sirias, but here's a couple models that I could faceclaim for him.

Danila Kovalev

Pros: Hollow cheeks, general overall look, body language/energy.
Cons: Siri has raven hair, and the nose on Danila is a bit more hooked rather than "fine".

Also, this one pic of Agus Beluchi

Pros: Those sharp dark eyes, dark hair, fine nose, mouth looks good.
Cons: Can't find any other pics of the person that look more androgynous than feminine.

That said, my art of Sirias is probably your best bet on getting an idea of what I imagine him to look like.

First thought is KieraPlease.

Pros: Hair fits the description of "curls nest" that Marcine wears PRETTY darn well. Black hair. Dusky skin. Big eyes, full mouth with sensual lips? Yessssss. Also on the curvy side!
Cons: Marci doesn't have freckles. Marci is also probably a bit curvier/a little more thicc.

I based Calamity off Katie McGrath, although my character's hair is definitely a lot more curly/wild and eyes are green.

I don't really know who Adeline looks like, though if I had to choose someone I think Jessica Alba as far as face goes and Ashley Graham for body. There was a woman I saw on a time period show that I thought fit Adeline perfectly, but I forgot the name lol.

I forgot her name, but she's an influencer I believe. When I saw her hair and skin, she instantly reminded me of Vasi

Vasilisa is a short, shapely woman of tanned complexion with a head of vivid fiery red hair, hip length and worn woven back in thin, feminine cornrows that transition into a voluminous ponytail of sassily curled dreadlocks. Deep-set hazel eyes return your gaze from beneath red eyebrows and a smooth forehead. You also note her fine nose, sensual lips, plump mouth, short jaw, fine cheeks and small ears.

I have tried several times over the years to nail down the right casting for Aleysia. I didn't have this in mind when she was created, but I keep coming back to Titanic-era Kate Winslet.

Aleysia is a tall, hourglass woman of fair complexion with a head of wavy red auburn hair, thigh-length and worn in casually tousled layers. Adumbral sapphire eyes return your gaze from beneath arched eyebrows and a smooth forehead. You also note her sensual lips, full mouth and high cheeks.

Okay.  So I've probably searched through dozens of different possibilities and pester even more people than that in helping me pick <.<  Ultimately I narrowed it down to two and  I'm settling on Eleanor Tomilson for now, specifically as Demelza from Poldark but with some more freckles <.<  This is however subject to change at least 18 more times.

Kaira is a below-average, curvaceous woman of freckled complexion with a head of flowing ginger hair, waist-length and worn partially pulled up in a loose plait with the remaining hair resting unrestrained against the back. Bright pale blue eyes return your gaze from beneath light eyebrows and a smooth forehead. You also note her pert nose, rosebud lips, plump mouth, apple cheeks, and dainty ears.

If I had to use a real world photo, it would likely be ScarJo. But that almost feels cliché now in the post-Avengers era.

But in her Outer Bailey days with her unruly sable hair she looked a lot more like this painting by Malcolm Liepke, and I think this was my forum pic for ages:


In the past few years now she's a polished fancy-person she's more like:

(The attitude and clothing is so wrong but the hair and face are so right.)


I see her real life counterpart as being Vivien Leigh! Just with more blush:
  

i had a lot of ideas about who could represent melle visually UNTIL i was sorting through a pile of (unread) books at my parents' house and realised that almost every facet of his character i'd subconsciously modelled on this one picture of jonathan rhys meyers as steerpike from the BBC gormenghast adaptation. still haven't watched it, still haven't read it, cringe i know. but a lot of what melle currently is was apparently born with this image.
