Harvest Festival Gourd Gauntlet
Brought to you by the Royal Army
In the spirit of the Harvest Festival, the Royal Army is pleased to invite you to the Gourd Gauntlet on the 1st of the 9th Moon starting at 8LB.
This will be a series of games and challenges utilizing the abundance of pumpkins that have been gathered in the patch. We will be meeting by the Patch to begin the games, so that those who wish to gather a fresh pumpkin to carve for the carving contest may do so. Carving contest may also include a previously carved pumpkin, you simply have to bring your finished product for the panel of judges to inspect on that night
Games also include:
Three to Tango - A three person spar, but a team of two is required to pass the pumpkin between themselves and keep it "safe" as though it were a damsel.
Arms Akimbo - Teams of two must race others with their pumpkins. Sound easy? Perhaps not. Because you will not be able to use your hands or arms to carry the pumpkin.
Great Gourd Toss - A test of strength to see who can toss their pumpkin the furthest.
Pumpkin Carving Contest - No restrictions. Come and paint or carve your pumpkin on the date, or carve it before and bring it as an entry.
What: Gourd Gauntlet
When: 1st day of the 9th moon, 8LB (September 1st, 8EST)
Where: We will begin at the Patch in the Grounds.
