An Artist is Yule

Denizens of Castle Marrach,
On behalf of the Unity of the Arts, all are invited to attend or participate in a competition to celebrate the event of Yule and the approach of a new Year of Recent Awakenings. With festivities and the Yuletide spirit running high, what better time to capture such a spirit on canvas to remember with? Will your art make this Yule the most memorable of them all?
The theme is Yule. Tell us your story of Yule, whether it is this one or previous ones that you have heard of or participated in. Contestants are welcome to bring one painting to submit for the competition, whether painted by themselves or commissioned from another, though for commissioned paintings both the artist and commissioner are to be named for the painting to qualify. Prizes and refreshments will be provided for the occasion, and in the spirit of generosity, two winners shall be decided among the contestants.
The event will take place near the Gingerbread Cottage at the 29th day of this moon at 6 late bells. (OOC: Wednesday, December 29, 06:00pm EST) If you are unable to attend but wish to participate as a contestant, paintings may be delivered by courier with a deadline of no later than three bells prior to the start of the event.
